Gina Zapanta-Alder
Director

Gina Zapanta-Alder is a co-founder and attorney at ZapantaAlder Law, a workers’ compensation law firm. In 2012, she founded the LA Center for Orthopedics, a concierge lien-based medical practice.
In 2003, Gina received her bachelors degree from the University of Southern California (USC) with a double major in psychology and international relations. She obtained her Juris Doctor in 2007 from Loyola Law School (LLS) where she had a judicial externship with Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Teresa Sanchez-Gordon. She passed the California Bar in 2009.
Her previous employment included time at the private equity firm The Yucaipa Companies, working directly with Ron Burkle from 2007 to 2010. In 2005, she provided investor relations support for the founding of ProAmerica Bank working with Executive Chairwoman and Founder Maria Contreras-Sweet.
In March 2020, she and her partner/husband, trial attorney Mike Alder, founded #ZAgives- a 501(c)(3). During COVID, they contributed over $90,000 supporting local restaurants, healthcare staff and grocery store employees. Additionally, they became the first private citizens to host a ‘day of giving’ at the Weingart East LA YMCA which provided over 12,000 meals, 10,000 toys and 8,000 home-deliveries. They continue to advocate for the East LA community.
In 2020, Gina co-created a partnership with world-renowned author and educator Stedman Graham to deliver his Identity Leadership program to inner-city students. She continues to develop strategic alliances between Stedman Graham Enterprises and the Latinx community.

Gina resides in Sherman Oaks, California and has two young daughters Sofia and Valentina. She enjoys entertaining, traveling, astronomy and is multi-lingual with fluency in Spanish and conversational in Arabic, Farsi and Portuguese. She is currently learning Mandarin Chinese along with her daughters.
