Laura Morales, Fund Development Coordinator

Laura Morales is married to husband Ruben Morales of 17 years and a mother of three children Ruben 21 currently serving our country in the Navy on the USS Carl Vinson, Nicholas 15 and Isabella 12. Laura is the Regional Public Affairs Manager for the League of CA Cities Inland Empire and Desert Mountain Divisions working directly with city and county officials in San Bernardino County, Kern County, Inyo County and Mono County.

 

Laura received her Bachelors of Science in Business Administration and communications from the University of Phoenix. From 2011-2014 Laura served as a trustee for the Colton Joint Unified School District Board. Laura has a passion for charity and helping the youth and speaks at schools to help inspire and empower students. She also serves on several boards and committees for the past 15 years. Laura has served as a board member for the Colton Tee Ball League for 5 years, currently on the Measure G Bond Committee for CJUSD and on the and on the CJUSD Boundary committee because she has a passion for education and the 25,000 students in the CJUSD, been on the Santa Claus Inc. Christmas tree lane committee since 2007. Laura also served as a board member on the Colton Police Activities League for 4 years. 

 

Currently Laura serves on the Executive board and is the Director of Development for the (IEHLC) Inland Empire Hispanic Leadership Council who promotes education and business in the IE and also serves on the board for the Loma Linda Ronald McDonald House. Laura started her own non-profit to benefit families and children in need in the CJUSD area. Amongst her many achievements Laura was awarded the Woman of the Year award in 2010 by Senator Gloria Negrette Mcleod and in 2009 the 30 Under 30 Award from Assemblymember Wilmer Amina Carter.  Her hobbies are fitness and camping with her family.
