A visionary leader who leverages technological expertise with business insight, Pervez Delawalla has a record of launching and scaling two profitable startups as well as enhancing the operating performance of established companies in diverse industries. Pervez credits the growth of his companies to his ability to identify and capitalize on market trends, establish customer-focused operations, and cultivate cultures of accountability while building and mentoring top-performing teams.
As a pioneer in the field of colocation, Pervez recognized the incredible market opportunity and was at the forefront of the industry, providing first-generation services with the launch of Net Data Centers (FKA Net2EZ). He started this privately-held provider of colocation, professional services, and data center solutions with a $500 investment, ultimately growing it into a $40M acquisition target and negotiating its sale.
As part of his expansion strategy for Net Data Centers, Pervez fostered relationships with the leadership at mid-cap and large organizations, winning accounts with key clients including Amazon, Getty Images, and Go Daddy, just to name a few. He also developed relationships and negotiated contracts with providers including AT&T, CenturyLink, Level3, and Qwest Communication. A difficult feat as he was competing again much larger organizations.
In addition, he established state-of-the-art 30,000 sq.ft. data centers in Northern Virginia, the DC area, and New Jersey as well as a 70,000 sq. ft. center in Los Angeles. Pervez led his team at Net Data Centers to provide ultra-reliable, flexible colocation solutions, network services, managed professional services, security services, and disaster recovery solutions to its more than 200 clients.
After selling Net Data Centers, Pervez launched VegaNext, providing IT solutions including cybersecurity, cloud, infrastructure management, voice, staff augmentation and business continuity. Growing the team to 22 employees, VegaNext is focused on serving small to mid-cap companies in the healthcare, financial, manufacturing, and hospitality industries.
Prior to founding his own companies, Pervez served as CTO at Cook Inlet Energy Supply. He provided leadership and management for all information technology services and operations for this company, which specialized in the supply, transport, and storage of natural gas.
Earlier at Alchemy Communications, Inc., Pervez was the VP of Technology where he distinguished himself as the leader of a world-class programming and support team. He was responsible of all technical operations for a colocation data center located in downtown Los Angeles, CA. His earlier positions included: Regional Project Manager at Prudential Health Care and Senior Systems Analyst at Great Western Bank, where he applied his vast knowledge of networked systems.
In addition to his impressive career, Pervez enjoys contributing to his community. To that end, he currently serves as a Member of the New Ground Board, an organization focused on building relationships across diverse communities. Previously, he served on a tech-related board that dealt with Internet governance and its impact on the US and globally. In addition, as Chair of the Golf Committee, he ran a charity golf tournament for three consecutive years for the Aga Khan Foundation (AKF) whose mission is to end global poverty.
