Sal Mendoza
Director
Sal Mendoza serves as Senior Vice President and Manager of City National Bank’s Community Reinvestment Department.
​
He is responsible for managing, monitoring and reporting on the bank’s CRA qualified lending, investment and service activities and spearheads advocacy and related outreach activities.
​
Mr. Mendoza played a critical role in the negotiation of the bank’s 5 year, $11 billion dollar community commitment which began subsequent to the bank’s merger with the Royal Bank of Canada in January 2016.
​
Mr. Mendoza is chairman of the board of directors of the Los Angeles Neighborhood Housing Services, the largest, non-profit affordable homeownership provider in Southern California. He also is a member of the boards of directors of People Assisting the Homeless and the San Fernando Valley Financial Development Corporation and a member of the Executive Council of the City Scholars Foundation. He also chairs the bank’s Latino Advisory Board which supports business development in the Latino community.

He earned a bachelor's degree in business and social science from California State Polytechnic Institute, Pomona, and a human resources management certificate from the University of California, Los Angeles.
