What We Do

The Dominguez Dream collaborates with elementary school principals and faculty, parents and community volunteers to provide Literacy and STEAM programs to 3,500 students in 10 schools across 5 markets in California – Sacramento, East Bay Area, Los Angeles, San Bernardino and North San Diego - Arizona and Washington. We support schools with at least 60% of students eligible for free or reduced-price lunch. Through our programs, we touched the lives of our children almost 8,000 times in 2016 and over 30,000 times in the last five years.

Our inquiry‐based programs provide hands on learning of 21st century skills, building our students critical thinking, communication, collaboration and creative skills. For many students, our programs are the first and only opportunity to access STEAM enrichment and interface with professionals in the field who serve as a role models. We strive to bridge the educational achievement gap by providing a positive and lasting impact on students, parents, educators, schools and the surrounding community.
